Ingredients to make Pineapple and Celery Green Juice:

*All ingredients should be fresh and organic if possible.

  • Pineapple– Great for improving digestion, reducing inflammation, and boosting immune system. Rich in antioxidants.
  • Celery– Rich in antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, and anti-viral properties.
  • Cucumber– Promotes digestion, hydrating, and flushes out toxins.
  • Parsley– Great source of iron and antioxidants. Promotes digestion and improves immunity.
  • Ginger Root– Relieves nausea and offers digestive support. Anti-inflammatory properties and reduces pain. Assists your body in fighting off any infections.
  • Lemon– Loaded with Vitamin C and rich in antioxidants. Boosts your immune system, fight colds and flu, and improves digestion. In addition, lemons and other citrus fruits are a natural antihistamine which treat allergies. They help relief symptoms like nasal congestion and sneezing.

Equipment you will need to make Pineapple Celery Green Juice:

  • Juicer– It’s the best and easiest way to make juice. If you don’t have a juicer you can also blend all of the ingredients together in a blender. Add a bit of water to get the blender going. Put the juice through a strainer or cheese cloth and squeeze to separate the juice from the pulp.
  • Knife and Cutting Board- To prep all of the ingredients.
  • Large Mixing Bowl- You can add scraps in here as you prep ingredients to easily discard after.
  • Mason Jar or Large Glass- To pour and serve juice in.

Step and Step instructions on how to make Pineapple and Celery Green Juice:

  • Step 1- Start by prepping all ingredients; dice pineapple into cubes and measure out 1.5 cups. Rinse and pat dry celery, cucumber and parsley. Peel and chop lemon.
  • Step 2- Run all ingredients through a juicer. Start with your ginger and parsley then the rest. These two ingredients have very little water content so the rest of the ingredients will flush them through the juicer as they get juiced.
  • Step 3- Allow juice to chill in the fridge for a few minutes if you wish. ( I usually leave it in there while I clean my juicer).
  • Step 4- Serve and drink within 8 hours. Enjoy!

Tips and Substitutions:

  1. Use all organic ingredients if possible- Organic ingredients are the best option when juicing as they are consumed raw.
  2. Put all ingredients in the juicer in the exact order indicated in recipe- Pineapples, celery, cucumbers and lemons contain a lot more water than parsley and ginger do. The liquid from these fruits and vegetables will help flush through any chunks of the other ingredients that are left behind in the juicer.
  3. Drink juice within 8 hours- Juice tends to start to ferment after that. If you have a cold press juicer, you can keep the juice in the fridge longer.
  4. Substitute for parsley- You can use cilantro.

Health Benefits of Juicing:

Juicing is the process of extracting juice from fruits and vegetables. Fresh juices can be extremely healthy and contain numerous vitamins and minerals. One of the most beneficial parts about juicing is that it allows your body to absorb the nutrients it contains much faster. Juicing is a great way to detox and give your body and digestive system a break and get restored.

How long does freshly juiced juice last?

Once you have your juice you can store it in a mason jar and keep refrigerated. This process involves most of the fiber being removed from the fruits and vegetables once they’re juiced. The juice can quickly start to get fermented. For this reason it’s recommended to consume your juice up to eight hours after it was juiced. However, if you are using a cold press juicer, the juice will last up to 3-4 days in the fridge.

How to store your Pineapple Celery Green Juice:

You can make your juice a few hours ahead to drink later. The best way to store it is in a mason jar tightly sealed and refrigerated. Meal Prepping it:

Juicing can be very time consuming. Juicing days ahead of time isn’t recommended since fresh juice can go bad very quickly. To make juicing on a daily basis more possible and easier, you can prep your fruits and vegetables ahead of time. Wash, peel and cut any fruits and vegetables you can ahead of time.
