Jump to Recipe

These Lemon-Honey Apple Cider Vinegar Gummies are rich with many health benefits. Especially for your gut health. Great for everyone in the family to indulge in; from the little ones to the adults. ACV can certainly be a bit harsh to drink. These gummies make it a lot easier to get it down. So you can receive all those health benefits apple cider has to offer.

Lemon-Honey Apple Cider Vinegar Gummies

For years I have been taking apple cider vinegar first thing in the morning. Mixing one tablespoon of ACV with a cup of water and drinking it before consuming anything else is very beneficial for your health. Apple cider vinegar has endless health benefits and making it part of our daily diet can be exceptional to our overall well being.

While apple cider vinegar is so beneficial it can be really hard to drink. It has a really strong and harsh taste. Even when diluted in water it is not the best taste to indulge in. For that I have created these Lemon-Honey Apple Cider Vinegar Gummies. They’re a lot easier to taste and swallow than pure ACV is. All while still getting the great benefits this multipurpose vinegar has to offer.

Ingredients needed to make Lemon-Honey Apple Cider Vinegar Gummies:

  • Apple Cider Vinegar– Make sure to get raw unfiltered and organic ACV. Make sure it has the mother too.
  • Apple Juice– Use organic juice that is 100% apple juice with no added sugar. Preferably use freshly juiced apple juice if possible.
  • Honey– Will sweeten up the gummies while adding more healing properties.
  • Lemon– Adds flavor as well as more vitamin c.
  • Agar Powder– To gel the gummies while keeping them vegetarian friendly.

Equipment need to make Lemon-Honey Apple Cider Vinegar Gummies:

  • Small Saucepan– To simmer the ingredients in.
  • Gummy Molds– Any gummy molds will work. I already had these and they come in fruit shapes. So I like using the apple and orange ones to make apple and “lemon” shaped gummies which I think is cute for these.
  • Liquid Dropper– It makes it so easy to drop the liquid into the molds. If you don’t have a liquid dropper, just a use a teaspoon measurer or a small spoon.

How to make Lemon-Honey Apple Cider Vinegar Gummies:

  • Step 1– Place a small saucepan on stovetop and pour in apple juice, acv, honey, and lemon juice. Turn heat on low and bring to a light simmer stirring occassionally making sure all the ingredients are well combined.
  • Step 2– Once liquid starts to simmer, sprinkle in agar powder and stir until it starts to dissolve. Bring mixture back to a very light simmer and continue simmering for about 5 minutes.
  • Step 3– Once you can see all ingredients have been dissolved completely and liquid looks thick, remove from heat.
  • Step 4– Using a liquid dropper, start squirting acv mixture into your gummy molds.
  • Step 5– Allow liquid to completely cool-off. Once it has completely cooled down, place molds in refrigerator and refrigerate for at least 2 hours so that they can firm up.
  • Step 6– Carefully remove gummies from fridge. Gently pop gummies out of mold and place them in a mason jar or air-tight container. Take 2-3 gummies a day and store the rest in the fridge for up to 1-2 weeks.

Tips and Substitutions:

  1. Use all organic ingredients if possible- It will make your gummies completely organic.
  2. Only simmer acv mixture and don’t let it get to a boil- You only need to simmer the ingredients enough so that they get dissolved. You don’t want liquid to get to a boil. Too much heat will start to kill-off some of the natural nutrients the ingredients in this recipe have to offer.
  3. Agar powder sets more as it cools-down- It will set even more in the refrigerator and gummies will firm up.
  4. Switch up your juice- You can use any other juice you prefer over apple or if you have some on hand. Other good juices to use in this recipe are cherry, pomegranate, or pear.
  5. Substitute for agar powder- If you don’t need these gummies to be vegetarian, you can use gelatin. If you want to keep these vegetarian friendly use corn starch.
  6. Substitute for honey- You can use maple syrup. This will also make these gummies vegan friendly!

How to store the Lemon-Honey Apple Cider Vinegar Gummies:

Place the gummies in an air-right container or mason jar. Keep them refrigerated for 3-4 weeks.

*Note- We are a family of 4 and each have about 2-3 a day. They don’t last very long in our fridge and the longest we have kept them has been four weeks. Since they contain lemon and are slightly heated they may last longer. Make sure they don’t smell or taste funny if you have had them for over 4 weeks.

How to take Lemon-Honey Apple Cider Vinegar Gummies:

Take 2-3 gummies a day. They’re perfect for kids too since they’re a fun treat!

What Is Apple Cider Vinegar?

Apple cider vinegar is the fermented juice that results from crushing apples. ACV contains acetic acid which is the vinegar’s primary compound. It is what gives apple cider vinegar its strong sour smell and flavor. It is also believed this acid is what gives acv its health benefits. Apple cider vinegar is known to contain many nutrients such as B vitamins and vitamin C.

Health Benefits of Apple Cider Vinegar:

  • Healthy pH balance in your body
  • Regulates blood sugar
  • Improves digestion
  • Normalizes intestinal bacteria
  • Boosts immune system
  • Energy booster
  • Aids in weight loss
  • Relieves constipation, acid reflux and heartburn
  • Eases joint pain
  • Reduces inflammation
  • Reduces cholesterol and blood pressure

What are the benefits of Apple Cider Vinegar gummies?

Apple cider vinegar gummies have pretty much the same health benefits found in the vinegar. Since these particular recipe calls for honey and lemon they also contain health and healing properties from these ingredients. These gummies are great to improve digestion, boost your immune system, clear skin, and detox.

What kind of apple cider vinegar should I use?

You should always opt for apple cider vinegar that is raw, unfiltered and organic and possible. Especially if you are using it to make acv gummies. You want apple cider vinegar that has that murky look to it. That is the mother which is a must have in any good ACV.

Apple Cider Vinegar Gummies FAQ’s:

Do apple cider vinegar gummies work?

Ultimately you will have to give acv gummies a try and see if they make a difference and improve your health. I would suggest taking 2-3 gummies a day for at least 3-4 consecutive weeks and see how your digestion and immune system improve.

What is the best use of apple cider vinegar gummies?

ACV gummies are known to improve your digestion, boost your immune system, lower blood sugar, boosts energy, reduces inflammation, improves gut health, and they are said to aid in weight loss.

Is it healthy to take apple cider vinegar gummies daily?

Yes. It is perfectly healthy to take acv gummies on a daily basis. They will actually work better if you consistently take them on a daily basis.

What are the best times to take apple cider vinegar gummies?

You can take acv gummies any time of day. However, it is best to take them first thing in the morning on an empty stomach to really soak up all the nutrients. It is also an easy way to make taking them a part of your daily morning routine. It will then become a habit.

Is it better to drink apple cider vinegar or take gummies?

Some may argue that it is better to take acv straight from the bottle rather than in gummy form. This is because the vinegar is simmered in the process. The amount of heat the vinegar is exposed to is very minimal (as the liquid won’t boil) so most of the nutrients will still be present in the gummies. Plus taking the gummies is much tastier.

What is the mother in apple cider vinegar?

The mother is the bacteria that is formed from fermenting the vinegar. It is what carries pretty much all of the health benefits you want from acv. This is why it is essential to buy apple cider vinegar that contains the mother. A thick gelatinous layer that is formed by the acetic acid on the surface of the vinegar.

Can any other juice be used instead of apple?

Yes. Cherry, pomegranate, or pear juice are a good substitute. Pineapple juice can work too.

What can I use instead of gelatin in this recipe?

If you don’t need these gummies to be vegetarian, you can use gelatin. If you want to keep these vegetarian friendly use corn starch.

  8. Now if these aren’t some healthy gummies I don’t know what are! Most of the vitamin gummies sold over the counter have too much sugar and other junk that I feel it defeats the purpose even giving them to my children. I would definitely make and give them these. Thanks, can’t wait to try them.

    1. Yes! And they’re so processed there’s barely any vitamins and minerals left.

I’m interested in making these but it was my understanding that really the only apple cider vinegar that has a major health impact on you is the raw kind with mother. If you boil it.. You killed the mother don’t you? How would these gummies have any health benefits left? Do I have it all wrong?

    1. Drinking raw unfiltered acv is the best option to make the most of it’s benefits. However, a lot of people can’t take its harsh taste so this is a great option for them. It is not Boiled but rather lightly simmered just to get the Agar powder to dissolve. The other ingredients in these gummies also add to the nutrients in the and health benefits.

  17. Chris

Doesn’t some of the good properties get ruined with heat? I know it does for raw honey.

    1. It’s a light simmer. They should be fine.

  18. Craig

    Is that 2 tbsp + 1 tsp???

Love this recipe and will definitely give it a go.
Sorry to be a pain but the font is puzzling me.
Is it one cup apple juice and half a cup apple cider vinegar please?
And two tablespoons agar powder plus one teaspoon.
    Thank you
    An

    1. Thank you Ann! I’ve gotten a lot of questions before to verify recipes because of the font. I’m working on updating it. But yes it’s 1 cup Apple juice, 1/2 cup acv and 2 tbsp Agar Powder plus 1 tsp.

I just made these, and the flavor is phenomenal! I love them! I couldn’t get mine to set quite as well as yours look like they are. The only gelatin I had in the house was some bulletproof collagelatin, so I used that without knowing if it can be used tablespoon for tablespoon in place of agar. I will most certainly try them again, maybe adding another teaspoon of gelatin.

    1. I’ve never tried these using gelatin so wouldn’t be sure of the measurements how they would work. The Agar definitely took me a few tries when I tested these until I got them just right!

  22. Allison

Is there a way to make them last longer than 7 days?

    1. I’ve personally kept them up to 2 weeks and they still taste fresh! We go through them pretty quickly in our house so I’ve never tested them longer than that.

  23. Stephanie

Is there a way to extended the shelf life in the refrigerator? I would think with the lemon juice- it would last longer than a week. But wanted to clarify.

    1. I’ve had them in my fridge for up to 14 days and they’re still fresh!

What’s the serving size for these gummies? If I were to make them in an 8×8 dish and cut them, how many do I need to aim for to be the equivalent of 2 tbs?

    1. I’ve never tried them in another dish other than molds.

  26. This looks so good! It would be fun to play around with other flavors too!

    1. Other flavors sounds so fun!

  27. Thanks for sharing! Can they be frozen?

    1. I’ve never frozen them before. I’m sure you can but I feel like it may take away from the “gummieness” once they thaw out.

  28. You have no idea how excited I am to make these!! Buying all the stuff on Amazon now 🙂
