These Buffalo Chicken Burgers are spicy, juicy and grilled to perfection. They are easy to make and great to serve with the Blue Cheese Dressing. It perfectly compliments the buffalo flavor and cools down the spiciness.


Buffalo Chicken Burgers with Blue Cheese Dressing
One of the best things about summer has to be all the grilling that’s done during this season. Grilled food is flavorful, delicious and can be very healthy. Not to mention how fun BBQ’s are.
These Buffalo Chicken Burgers are a must try during any grilling season. They are a hit at any cookout and a definite crowd pleaser. These burgers are absolutely amazing. They’re juicy, spicy and bursting with flavors.
You can’t have buffalo anything without a good blue cheese dressing. This Healthy Blue Cheese Dressing is the perfect topping for these tasty burgers. The blue cheese cools down the spiciness of the buffalo sauce while adding more flavor and creaminess.


Ingredients needed to make Buffalo Chicken Burgers:
- Ground Chicken– Use a ground chicken that is not too lean and has some fat. This will help the burgers keep their shape better.
- Aromatics– Grated carrots, green onions and garlic.
- Frank’s Hot Sauce– This is my go-to sauce for a buffalo sauce flavor. You can use any hot sauce you prefer.
- Spices– Pink Salt, Black Pepper and Cayenne Pepper.
- For Blue Cheese Dressing– plain Greek yogurt, blue cheese crumbs, pink sea salt, apple cider vinegar, lemon juice, and chives.
Equipment needed to make Buffalo Chicken Burgers:
- Large Baking Sheet Pan– For placing the buffalo chicken burgers as they chill.
- Parchment Paper– For lining baking sheet pan.
- Large Mixing Bowl– For mixing the ingredients for the burgers.
- Small Mixing Bowl– For mixing the ingredients for the blue cheese dressing.
- Whisk– For whisking dressing.
- Ice Cream Scooper– To scoop out the ground chicken mixture. Makes the perfect size for shaping the burger patties.
- Grill– To cook burgers on. You can also use a griddle or a cast iron with ridges.
How to make Buffalo Chicken Burgers:




- Step 1– Line a large baking sheet pan with parchment paper. Set aside. Grate carrots and measure out 1/4 cup. Thinly slice green onions and mince garlic. Place ground chicken in a large mixing bowl and toss in the rest of ingredients for buffalo chicken burgers; grated carrots, green onions, garlic, hot sauce, pink sea salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper. Use spatula or hand to mix all ingredients well making sure eveything is well combined with ground chicken.








- Step 2– Use an ice cream scooper to scoop out chicken mixture and form patties. They should be about 4-5 inches wide. Place patty on prepped sheet pan. Repeat until all chicken mixture has been formed into patties. You should have 6 patties. Place patties in the fridge and allow them to chill for 1 hour. *(see note below)




- Step 3– While burgers chill, in a small mixing bowl combine all of the ingredients for the blue cheese dressing and whisk together. Keep refrigerated until ready to serve.




- Step 4– Grease grill and allow to preheat on medium-high heat.
- Step 5– Remove patties from fridge and rub olive oil on both sides of each patty. Place patties on grill and cook for 7 minutes. Flip burgers and cook for another 7 minutes on the other side.
- Step 6– Serve patties in burger buns, lettuce wraps, or any preferred way. Drizzle patties with blue cheese dressing and add any other desired burger fixens like tomatoes and onions.


Tips and Substitutions:
- Chill the burgers for a while- This will help them get firm and prevent them form falling apart when grilling.
- Preheat grill for at least 10 minutes before grilling the burgers– This will prevent the burgers from sticking on the grill.
- Don’t skip brushing the burgers with oil on both sides- This will also pervert them from sticking to the grill.
- Don’t skip making the Blue Cheese Dressing- It’s the perfect compliment for these Buffalo Chicken Burgers.
- Substitute for ground chicken– You can use goring turkey if you prefer.
- Use any preferred hot sauce– I like using Frank’s hot sauce for that classic buffalo sauce flavor. You can use any hot sauce you prefer.

Ingredients
Buffalo Chicken Burgers
- 1-1.5 lbs ground chicken
- 1/4 cup grated carrots

- 3 minced garlic cloves
- 1/4 cup Frank's hot sauce (or hot sauce of preference)
- 1.5 tsp pink sea salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/8 tsp cayenne pepper
- olive oil (for greasing)

- 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
- 1/2 cup blue cheese crumbs
- 1/2 tsp pink sea salt
- 1 tsp apple cider vinegar
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tbsp chives
