We’re from New England and my husband is a huge Patriots fan. So I get very inspired to make all kinds of delicious game day foods. They’re so fun to make and eat!

Honey-Lime Sriracha Chicken Wings.

Ingredients needed to make Honey-Lime Sriracha Chicken Wings:

  • Chicken Wings– I like to use both drums and flats.
  • Limes– Use fresh lime juice. Makes all the difference!
  • Honey– Can substitute for maple syrup but honey is more of the flavor we are going for with these.
  • Sriracha– Adds a nice kick to these chicken wings.
  • Spices– Garlic powder and pink sea salt.
  • Coconut Oil– Can substitute for avocado oil or any oil with a high smoking point.

Equipment needed to make Honey-Lime Sriracha Chicken Wings:

  • Small Mixing Bowl– To mix sauce in.
  • Whisk– For whisking sauce.
  • Large Baking Sheet Pan– A 9×13 inch pan at least. 13×18 inch would be best.
  • Parchment Paper– For lining sheet pan to avoid chicken wings from sticking to sheet pan.
  • Pastry Brush– To evenly spread sauce over chicken wings.

How to make Honey-Lime Sriracha Chicken Wings:

  • Step 1– Preheat oven at 400 degrees F. Line a large baking sheet pan with parchment paper.
  • Step 2– In a small mixing bowl combine lime juice, Sriracha, honey, garlic powder, and pink sea salt. Whisk together until well combined.
  • Step 3– Pat dry chicken wings and spread over prepped baking sheet pan. Drizzle coconut oil over wings and give them a good toss. Make sure wings are well coated with coconut oil.
  • Step 4– Pour half of the sauce over wings and toss again. Again, make sure all wings are well coated. Place wings in the oven and bake for 30 minutes.
  • Step 5– Remove wings from oven. Using a pastry brush, brush the rest of the sauce over wings making sure they are well coated once again. Place wings back in oven and bake for another 15 minutes.
  • Step 6– Remove wings from the oven and serve immediately with your favorite dipping wing sauce or dressing. Enjoy!

Tips and Substitutions:

  1. Line baking sheet pan with parchment paper- This will prevent wings from sticking to the pan and will make clean up much easier later.
  2. Make sure to toss wings well each time- You want the wings to be well coated in oil and the sauce. This way they will cook evenly and every wing will be as flavorful.
  3. Substitute for coconut oil- Use avocado oil or olive oil.

How to serve Honey-Lime Sriracha Chicken Wings:

I really like serving my Honey-Lime Sriracha Chicken Wings with ranch dressing or blue cheese. They are always a crowd pleaser when served with these side dressings. I also always serve them with a side of carrot and celery sticks for a nice garnish.

Honey-Lime Sriracha Chicken Wings FAQ’s:

Are Chicken Wings considered healthy?

Homemade chicken wings can be pretty healthy. It’s all about the oils, sauces and method of cooking you use. This will determine how healthy or unhealthy chicken wings can be. If you use healthy oils such as coconut and avocado, you will actually be adding healthy fats to your wings. Baking them or air-frying them are also much better options to cook chicken wings rather than deep frying them.

Can I make Honey-Lime Sriracha Chicken Wings ahead of time?

Yes. You can either prep your sauce ahead of time and your wings. Once you are ready to bake, place your chicken wings on a baking sheet and pour sauce.
