Recipe Notes

Tips and Substitutions:

    1. Layer the ingredients in the blender in the order that’s indicated in the recipe- Layering the ingredients this way makes a difference. It allows the blender to blend the frozen ingredients first then takes the rest in with the liquid being last. This makes for a creamier and richer smoothie. Believe me, it matters!
    2. Use any preferred milk- You can use any plant-based or dairy milk you prefer. Oat milk is really good too for this smoothie. I do like using unsweetened milks so I can control the sweetness myself.
    3. Use ice– It makes the smoothie even thicker which helps with the layering of the smoothie as well. Ice will also make the smoothie even more refreshing.
    4. Substitute for chia seeds– You can use other seeds like hemp hearts or flax meal. You can omit the seeds all together.
    5. Substitute for walnuts- You can use pecans or cashews. You can also skip adding nuts all together.
    6. Substitute for frozen banana– You can use frozen cauliflower rice.
