These Blistered Shishito Peppers are a delicious restaurant style appetizer you can easily make at home. They are so flavorful and make for one addicting snack. Do not skip the dipping garlicky sauce that pairs perfectly with these charred shishito peppers. You won't get enough of these!
Place a 12 inch cast iron skillet on stovetop and bring to a high-heat.
While skillet is heating up, place shishito peppers in a large mixing bowl and toss with avocado oil. Make sure shishito peppers are well coated with oil.
Once skillet has been heating for at least 2 minutes or it's hot enough that it has started to smoke, carefully add peppers making sure they are spread out and in a single layer.
Sear peppers for 2 minutes or until blistered and browned. Using tongs, flip peppers and sear them for another 2 minutes.
Transfer blistered shishito peppers to a bowl and sprinkle with sea salt if desired.
In a small mixing bowl, combine mayo, grated garlic, lemon juice and pink sea salt. Give it a good whisk until it has been well combined.
Serve blistered shishito peppers while still warm with the garlicky sauce for dipping. Enjoy!
