Recipe Notes

Tips and Substitutions:

    1. Substitute for chia seeds– You can use other seeds like hemp hearts or flax meal. You can omit the seeds all together.
    2. Use frozen banana– This will make your smoothie thick so that it can be layered.
    3. Use ice– It makes the smoothie even thicker which helps with the layering of the smoothie as well. Ice will also make the smoothie even more refreshing.
    4. Layer the ingredients in the blender in the order that’s indicated in the recipe- Layering the ingredients this way makes a difference. It allows the blender to blend the frozen ingredients first then takes the rest in with the liquid being last. This makes for a creamier and richer smoothie. Believe me, it matters!
    5. Substitute for oat milk– You can use any milk you prefer such as almond milk, cashew milk or even dairy milk.
    6. Substitute for frozen banana- You can use frozen cauliflower rice.
