Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1/8 tsp black pepper
  • 2 large carrots
  • 1/2 inch piece of ginger root
  • 1/2 inch piece of turmeric root
  • 5 oranges
  • 1 grapefruit
  • 2 lemons

Instructions

  1. Drizzle honey and sprinkle black pepper in the cup or jar you will be juicing into. Peel and rough chop carrots, oranges, grapefruit and lemons. Put carrots, ginger, turmeric, and citrus fruit through juicer and juice. Put all ingredients in the juicer in that exact order. Citrus fruits contain a lot more liquid than carrots, ginger and turmeric do. The liquid from the citrus will help flush through any chunks of the other ingredients that are left behind in the juicer.

  2. Give juice a good stir making sure the honey in the bottom is completely dissolved into the juice.

  3. Pour juice into popsicle molds filling up all the way to the top. Place popsicle mold cover and insert popsicle sticks. Place popsicles in the freezer and freeze for at least 2 hours or until popsicles have completely become frozen.

  4. Take popsicles out of the freezer and run popsicle mold under cold water upside down. This will loosen the popsicles a bit making it easy to pull them out of the mold. Enjoy popsicles as needed or desired. Hope you feel better!

Recipe Notes

Tips and Substitutions:

  1. Put all ingredients in the juicer in that exact order indicated in recipe- Citrus fruits contain a lot more liquid than carrots, ginger and turmeric do. The liquid from the citrus will help flush through any chunks of the other ingredients that are left behind in the juicer.
  2. Give juice a good stir making sure the honey in the bottom is completely dissolved into the juice- You want to make sure all the honey is well mixed into the juice and that there isn't any left behind in the cup or jar.
  3. Don't skip black pepper- Black pepper helps boost your body's absorption of turmeric along with all it's healing properties.
  4. Substitute for honey- If you don't like honey or want to keep these vegan friendly, use maple syrup instead.
