Vegan Eggnog
Eggnog is such a staple during the holiday season. I personally love eggnog and it’s one of the things I love to indulge in during the most wonderful time of the year. It’s just so comforting and rich. It just gives you all the holiday feels.
This Vegan Eggnog is no exception in making you feel like the holidays are upon us. Vegan Eggnog is just as creamy and rich as traditional eggnog. All while being a version that can be enjoyed by everyone.
Vegan Eggnog can be made with several different egg-free ingredients as the base. It still has milk, cinnamon, sugar and all the other ingredients traditional eggnog calls for. You can even add some rum for that adult eggnog we all enjoy.
Aside from how delicious and rich this Vegan Eggnog is, it’s also pretty nutrient dense. A much healthier version to a typical eggnog. Especially any store-bought one. So easy to make and comes together in very little time. Once you’ve had this amazing and tasty eggnog, it’ll be hard to go back.

Ingredients needed to make Vegan Eggnog:
- Gluten-Free Rolled Oats– Also known as old fashioned oats.
- Water– To cook the oats in.
- Spices– Cinnamon, nutmeg, and pink sea salt.
- Vanilla Extract– MOore flavor.
- Maple Syrup– For sweetness.
- Almond Milk– I like using unsweetened almond milk.
Equipment needed to make Vegan Eggnog:
- Blender– For blending everything together.
- Small Saucepan– To cook the oats in.
- Large Wide Mouth Mason Jar or Pitcher– To store the vegan eggnog in.
How to Make Vegan Eggnog:
- Step 1– In a small saucepan combine oats and water. Place on stovetop and bring to a boil on high heat.
- Step 2– Once oats start boiling, bring heat down to medium-low and allow to simmer until water has started to be reduced. No more than 2-3 minutes. It should still look wet and not dry at all.
- Step 3– Add cooked oats to blender along with the rest of ingredients. Blend at high speed until creamy texture has been reached.
- Step 4– Pour vegan eggnog into a large wide mouth mason jar or pitcher. Allow to completely cool-off. Place in the fridge and refrigerate until it’s very chilled. At least 2-4 hours or preferably overnight.
- Step 5– Serve and garnish with cinnamon. Enjoy!
Tips and Substitutions:
- Do not overcook your oats– Overcooking the oats will result in thick and mushy oatmeal like texture. Which will make it too thick to make your vegan eggnog.
- Use any preferred plant-based milk– Cashew milk is great too as it makes the vegan eggnog super creamy. Coconut milk or oat milk are great too.
- Substitute for maple syrup– You can use agave or coconut sugar. Just not that coconut sugar can give the eggnog a darker shade.
- Use other spices– Ground cloves or cardamom are great too.
- Served chilled– This vegan eggnog is best served chilled.
