Sautéed Garlic Butter Mushrooms make for a flavorful and delicious side dish. Garlicky, buttery mushrooms sautéed until soft and fragrant. All you need is 15 minutes to get this tasty dish ready.
Clean mushrooms and slice each mushroom into 3 slices. Mince garlic and measure out butter.
Place a 12 inch cast iron skillet on a stovetop and turn heat to medium-high. Add butter to heated skillet and allow it to start melting for about 30-45 seconds. Toss in minced garlic and sautee for 1 minute.
Toss in mushrooms and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Continue to sautee for 6-8 minutes until mushrooms are cooked through. Use a spatula to occasionally stir mushrooms making sure they are cooking through on every side.
Serve immediately and garnish with fresh thyme if desired.
