Red Velvet Overnight Oats

These Red Velvet Overnight Oats are a delicious, nutritious and a quick breakfast to enjoy any day of the week. Made with no artificial dyes. Rather, these overnight oats are made with beet puree and wholesome ingredients like rolled oats, chia seeds and cacao powder.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup almond milk (or milk of choice)
  • 2 tsp beet puree
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1 tbsp cacao powder
  • 1 tsp maple syrup

Instructions

  1. In a 16 oz wide mouth mason jar combine all ingredients. Tightly seal mason jar with lid and give it a good shake making sure all of the ingredients are well combined.

  2. Place oats in the fridge and refrigerate over night.

  3. The next morning, remove oats from the fridge and remove lid. Use a spoon to give oats a good stir. Top with any desired toppings and enjoy!

Recipe Notes

Tips and Substitutions:

    1. You will not be able to taste the beets in your overnight oats- Using beets will make your overnight oats naturally red without having to use food coloring.
    2. Use any milk you wish- You can use any plant-based or dairy milk you desire.
    3. Add a splash of vanilla extra– It will add more flavor but it is completely optional. 
    4. Add some protein- Add some chocolate collagen peptides or chocolate protein powder to add some protein.
    5. Substitute for maple syrup- You can can use honey.
    6. Substitute for cacao powder- You can use unsweetened cocoa powder.
    7. Add more toppings– Once you are ready to serve your oats add more toppings like more coconut cream, chocolate chips, fresh berries, etc.
