These Mahi Mahi Burgers with Chipotle-Avocado Spread will be the stars of every barbecue this summer. They’re delicious and every bite is a burst of flavor. Even the beef burger eaters will be jealous of these Mahi Mahi Burgers. You sure will want them to be part of your next barbecue!
Start by cubing mahi mahi filets and placing them in a food processor bow. Thinly dice cilantro and measure out 2 tablespoons. Mince garlic and dice onion. Add to food processor bowl along with the rest of ingredients for mahi mahi burgers. Pulse until all ingredients are well combined.
Scoop out mixture into 4 even parts and roll them into balls. Shape them into burger patties that are about 4-5 inches wide and about 1/4-1/2 inch thick. Set them aside.
Preheat grill or griddle on medium-high heat. Drizzle a bit of oil on surface. Place patties on heated surface and grill burgers for 2-3 minutes. Flip over and continue to grill for another 2-3 minutes on opposite side. Set aside.
Place all ingredients for the spread in food processor bowl (make sure bowl is cleaned up from making burger mixture); mayo, crushed chipotle chili , avocado, fresh lime juice, cilantro, pink sea salt, and black pepper. Pulse on high until well combined and creamy and smooth texture is reached.
Serve Mahi Mahi Burgers while still warm in burger buns with Chipotle-Avocado Spread and any preferred burger fixins. Enjoy!
