Ingredients

  • 1 cup apple juice (preferably freshly juiced)
  • 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 3-4 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp agar powder plus 1 tsp

Instructions

  1. Place a small saucepan on stovetop and pour in apple juice, acv, honey, and lemon juice. Turn heat on low and bring to a light simmer stirring occassionally making sure all the ingredients are well combined.

  2. Once liquid starts to simmer, sprinkle in agar powder and stir until it starts to dissolve. Bring mixture back to a very light simmer and continue simmering for about 5 minutes.

  3. Once you can see all ingredients have been dissolved completely and liquid looks thick, remove from heat.

  4. Using a liquid dropper, start squirting acv mixture into your gummy molds.

  5. Allow liquid to completely cool-off. Once it has completely cooled down, place molds in refrigerator and refrigerate for at least 2 hours so that they can firm up.

  6. Carefully remove gummies from fridge. Gently pop gummies out of mold and place them in a mason jar or air-tight container. Take 2-3 gummies a day and store the rest in the fridge for up to 3-4 weeks.

Recipe Notes

Tips and Substitutions:

    1. Use all organic ingredients if possible- It will make your gummies completely organic.
    2. Only simmer acv mixture and don't let it get to a boil- You only need to simmer the ingredients enough so that they get dissolved. You don't want liquid to get to a boil. Too much heat will start to kill-off some of the natural nutrients the ingredients in this recipe have to offer.
    3. Agar powder sets more as it cools-down- It will set even more in the refrigerator and gummies will firm up.
    4. Switch up your juice- You can use any other juice you prefer over apple or if you have some in hand. Other good juices to use in this recipe are cherry, pomegranate, or pear.
    5. Substitute for agar powder- If you don't need these gummies to be vegetarian, you can use gelatin. If you want to keep these vegetarian friendly use corn starch.
    6. Substitute for honey- You can use maple syrup. This will also make these gummies vegan friendly!
