Recipe Notes

Tips for making Roasted Chickpeas:

  1. Make sure to drain your chickpeas and rinse them well- Canned chickpeas have this foamy liquid, rinse until the foam is gone. The foam comes from the starch that gets formed in the can. Rinsing it will make the beans easier to digest and get crunchier when roasting.
  2. Dab your chickpeas dry with a paper towel. Make sure chickpeas are completely dry so that oil along with the flavor mixtures stick to them. You also want to reduce the moisture in the chickpeas to make sure they get crunchy in the oven while roasting.
  3. Align baking sheet pan with parchment paper- This will prevent chickpeas from sticking to the pan while roasting.
  4. Try them in the air-fryer- Try making your chickpeas in the air-fryer. They come out so crispy and crunchy!
