Golden Milk Latte Overnight Oats
How many of you guys love overnight oats? Well hopefully you’re a big fan because today’s recipe is another one for overnight oats. These Golden Milk Latte Overnight Oats are my favorite overnight oats recipe at the moment. We have been having them on a regular basis in my home for the past couple of months or so.
Golden milk lattes are nourishing and can help improve your health. All of its ingredients benefit the well being of our bodies. Turmeric, cinnamon, ginger and honey are all incredibly beneficial to our health and contain many powerful healing properties. Black pepper increases the absorption of turmeric into our bodies.
In this recipe, we give this classic warm, healthy beverage a twist. We take the same ingredients turning them into Golden Milk Latte Overnight Oats. These oats make for a healthy and nutritious breakfast or snack. Top with some fresh berries for a complete and delicious way to start your day.
Ingredients needed to make Golden Milk Latte Overnight Oats:
- Gluten-Free Rolled Oats– Also known as old fashioned oats.
- Spices– Ground turmeric, ground cinnamon, ground ginger, and black pepper.
- Honey– For sweetness.
- Chia Seeds– They will thicken the oats as they expand overnight in the liquid.
- Coconut Milk– Or any preferred milk.
- Collagen Peptides– Optional. Adds more protein and some creaminess to the oats.
Equipment needed to make Golden Milk Latte Overnight Oats:
- 16 oz wide mouth mason jar with lid (or similar size)- These are perfect to fit all of the ingredients in. The tight lid also helps the oats stay fresh overnight and for a couple of days after too.
- Measuring cups– To measure oats, nuts, eggnog and milk.
- Measuring spoons– For measuring chia, spices, and maple syrup.
How to make Golden Milk Latte Overnight Oats:
- Step 1– Combine all ingredients in a 16 oz wide mouth mason jar. Tightly close lid and give oats a good shake making sure all ingredients are combined well.
- Step 2– Place oats on fridge and refrigerate overnight.
- Step 3– The next morning, stir in coconut oil if using and combine well into the oats.
- Step 4– Top with preferred toppings like fresh berries. Enjoy!
Tips and Substitutions:
- Use a mason jar or airtight container to make your overnight oats in– This will keep them fresh as they are refrigerated overnight.
- Add a splash of vanilla extra– It will add more flavor but it is completely optional.
- Add more toppings– Once you are ready to serve your oats add more toppings like fresh berries, coconut chips, nuts, etc.
- Substitute for honey- Use maple syrup.
- Use any milk you wish- You can use any plant-based or dairy milk you desire.
How to Serve Golden Milk Latte Overnight Oats:
You can eat your golden milk latte overnight oats right out of the jar. You can eat your oats cold or if you prefer you can heat them up a bit in the microwave. Add more toppings to your overnight oats for more flavor and texture. Berries, nuts, coconut chips all great toppings for these oats.

What makes overnight oats taste better?
The base ingredients of most overnight oats recipes are old fashioned oats (or rolled oats), chia seeds, and milk. To make them taste better you can add endless ingredients such as fresh or dried fruit, nut butters, Greek yogurt, nuts, protein powder or collagen, etc. You can also add natural sweeteners such as maple syrup or honey to make them sweeter.
How long do overnight oats need to soak?
Overnight oats need to soak for at least 2 hours but preferably overnight. This will allow for the chia seeds to expand and thicken your oats. It also allows for the ingredients for sit together for better flavor.
Meal Prepping it:
Overnight oats are always great for meal prepping. They come together in just a few minutes. Refrigerate over night and the next morning breakfast is ready. Make these golden night latte overnight oats ahead and keep refrigerated for up to 3 days.

I’m a strange one , but i never heard of “overnight oats”. I do know, however, that tumeric is very good for you. What a great way to incorporate it into a meal!
There are many people who are not aware of what overnight oats are but they’re not only delicious and healthy, they’re super easy to make. Turmeric has so many wonderful health benefits!

I’ve always heard such amazing things about turmeric from my sister but never tried for myself. I’m not good with herbs and things. This sounds like something cool to try out.
Turmeric has many great benefits and it’s a pretty tasty spice. I use it on almost everything like this, in my smoothies, rice, chicken, soups, etc.
You know I haven’t tried either of these things, golden lattes or overnight oats. But your pictures make it look so good I might have to try both now.
