What you need to make this Turnip, Peaches, Blueberries puree:

  • Turnip
  • Peaches
  • Blueberries

What makes this Puree healthy and beneficial for baby:

Turnips are highly benefitcial and rich in nutrients. Peaches and blueberries are also highly nutrient fruits. This puree has a great content of antioxidants, fiber, vitamin C, calcium and iron. These are all vitamins and minerals that infants need for a healthy development.

How to freeze this baby Puree:

  1. Serve in portions your baby is currently eating.
  2. Use small airtight containers that are freezer friendly to store your baby food in.
  3. Freeze for up to 6 months.
  4. Thaw out in the fridge over night or for 12-24 hours.
  5. Transfer puree to a small pot and warm up on low heat.
  6. Feed puree to your baby.

Turnip, Peach, Blueberries (6m+)

Ingredients

  • 1 turnip
  • 2 peaches
  • 2 cups blueberries

Instructions

  1. Steam turnip for 12-15 minutes.

  2. Add peaches and steam for an additional 8-10 minutes.

  3. While turnip and peaches steam, blend blueberries until pureed.

  4. Strain blueberry puree to get rid of skin.

  5. Add strained blueberries to cooked turnip and peaches and blend until desired consistency is reached.

  6. Divide into desired portions.

  7. Serve immediately and freeze additional portions for up to 3 months.

  1. Can’t say I’ve ever had a turnip, but I have had parsnip fries and those are delicious. Sadly my little one is no longer interested in pureed foods but I do have lots of friends who have brand new little ones so I’ll be glad to pass along this recipe.

  2. It’s great that you are feeding such a variety. My kids ate or at least tried more things when they were younger. Now I find myself making smoothies with spinach in the strawberries to get the necessary vitamins and nutrition they need.

    1. My daughter is going through the same phase. It’s normal for them to go through the Picky Eating stages. Don’t give up and keep introducing foods even if they refuse it. They’ll come along eventually!
