This Sweet Potato, Banana and Papaya puree is so thick and creamy. It’s a great texture to introduce your baby to. This puree is sweet and rich in nutrients.
Sweet potatoes are a great source of vitamins A and C and boost the immune system. We all know how rich banana’s are in potassium and they actually aid in digestion and are an energy booster. Papayas also boost the immune system and help with digestion. They’re a great source of vitamin C and B and magnesium.
If your baby is having trouble with digestion or constipation, this puree can help. Be sure to use ripe bananas as green bananas tend to make you constipated.
This was one of our favorite baby foods in our home. My daughter loved the taste and I made it for her on a regular basis. Also helped get her through her constipation.

At what age can my baby have this Puree?
This puree is super creamy and smooth. It can be introduced to babies 6 months and older. It is highly recommended that each ingredient is introduced separately to baby before this combo is. This will discard any allergic reactions or so to any of the fruits and veggie.
What you need to make this Sweet Potato, Banana and Papaya baby puree:
- Sweet Potato
- Ripe Banana
- Papaya
- Breast Milk or Formula (optional)
What makes this Puree healthy and beneficial for baby:
This Sweet Potato, Banana, Papaya puree is great for your baby’s digestion. It is sure to help when baby is constipated. Sweet Potatoes and Papayas are great to aid digestion. Ripe bananas have a higher amount of sugars which assist in alleviating constipation. The key is to use ripe bananas and not green ones. Green bananas have the opposite effect.
How to freeze this baby Puree:
- Serve in portions your baby is currently eating.
- Use small airtight containers that are freezer friendly to store your baby food in.
- Freeze for up to 6 months.
- Thaw out in the fridge over night or for 12-24 hours.
- Transfer puree to a small pot and warm up on low heat.
- Feed puree to your baby.

Sweet Potato, Banana and Papaya (6 m+)
Ingredients
- 1 cup Sweet Potato
- 2/3 cup Papaya
- 1 Banana
Instructions
- Steam sweet potato for 20 minutes.
Add papaya and banana to cooked sweet potato.
Blend together until desired consistancy is reached.
Devide into desired portions.
Serve immedietly and freeze additional portions.

I so much went into the lanes when my preschooler had just started solids and I focussed so much on puree foods. Sweet potato and banana was one of his favourite.
Purees were a big focus for us too. Sweet potatoes and bananas were always a favorite!
