  1. Oh, my children have strongly disliked what I have made them a lot! But that is a learning experience for both sides. Kids need to learn they can dislike food and survive. (Although sometimes my kids will argue otherwise. 😉 ) And as a parent we just keep trying. Good job trying new things! Being exposed to lots of flavors is so important.

  2. I actually laughed out loud when I read this! I guess you’re right, it is mom funny. I made all my kids baby food when they were little but I never thought to add fish. This is a great idea!

  3. Love this story! I swear even now as a toddler my daughter has days where she will seriously gag (eye roll) over something she had 2 helpings of the day before! I love your recipes!

  4. I did broccoli and apple recently and my little guy hated it. I’ll admit that I was a little disappointed too. Thank you for the reminder that it’s all part of the process!

    1. It can be so disappointing when they don’t like something we worked so hard and poured all our love in. But it’s all part of the process and we shouldn’t take it personal. Their job as toddlers is to be difficult lol

  5. My daughter eats so many more things than my oldest. She always has eaten whatever we had and so foods like this are more complex in flavors and I bet will prevent picky eaters!

  6. lol i can actually relate to this, my daughter is 2 years now but i remember when i was makign her meals. I would buy the ingredients and spend a while making the food, so proud of myself! My hubby would come in and look at me then shake his head. I remember a particular meal, i cant remember what i made but i fed it to her and ewww she refused it. I was so sad cause i had prided myself in how much she would love it. Epic fail!!

  7. Lately my son has become such a picky eater. You try to go all out on a meal, hoping he’ll like it, and then he just flings it on the floor. I guess it’s that age! I’m not much of a fish eater, but my husband loves it. Sending him this recipe!

  8. Doesn’t look nice for me but I bet it’s a healthy meal for kids and for them it’s yummy. I was preparing food for my son as well and it’s never look pretty:P
