Butternut Squash, Broccoli, Pear, Peach (6m+)

Having to add texture to Emma’s purees was something that took a little bit of time for me to realize. The first time I blended a few ingredients together was a disaster. I cooked some carrots, string beans and spinach. When I fed it to Emma she had a hard time swallowing it. Then I realized that I hadn’t cooked the carrots and string beans enough leaving too much texture and making it hard for my baby to swallow. I felt horrible to say the least. I felt like I almost caused my baby to choke! But part of being a great parent is understanding that you’re not going to automatically be a pro at everything and to not beat yourself up about it. Everything is trial and error.

Then as I introduced more and more different purees, I forgot to add texture as Emma got older. She stared to give me some trouble at feeding times and I couldn’t understand why. Then it finally hit me! I noticed how fast she was swallowing her food and barely tasting it. She was bored! So I tried to make her purees a little thicker and added some more ingredients to it.

This Butternut Squash, Broccoli, Pear, Peach puree is amazing. It has everything every baby food should have. Many essential vitamins and minerals, great taste, and great texture. It was sort of an upgrade to purees I had made for her in the past. I wanted to make something with her favorite foods so that she can get back to enjoying her meals with no fuss. This puree became very popular with miss Emma and I would highly recommend it for your precious baby as well!
